The Organics Waste Depot is available between May 1st and October 31st, unless there is a snowfall.
Acceptable & Unacceptable Items:
The Organics Depot has two green bins and one red bin.
Green bins are emptied twice per week - Mondays and Thursdays.
Green Bins:
The green bins are for organics only, including:
- Grass clippings;
- Leaves;
- Small tree trimmings;
- Pumpkins (from October 31st - November 3rd only); and
- Christmas trees (first two weeks in January only).
The following items CANNOT be placed in the green bins:
- garbage;
- food waste (attracts flies and causes foul odors); and/or
- plastic bags.
Red Bin:
The red bin is for the disposal of plastic bags that are used to empty organic material into the green bins.
Curbside Organics:
Please note that the curbside organics program is also available for $10/month from May 1st to October 31st. Find out more information here.
Location:
The Organics Waste Depot is located on the east side of the Diamond Arena (202 Pacific Avenue, Warman, SK, S0K 4S1).
Rules:
The Organics Waste Depot rules are as follows:
- No throwing items on the ground outside of the bins; and
- No misusing the depot.
The site is closely monitored and individuals found in violation of the above rules will be subject to Bylaw enforcement.
