About City of Warman Council

Mayor Gary Philipchuk, Deputy Mayor Kevin Tooley, and Councillors Richard Beck, Marshall Seed, Tracy Johnson and Doug Ramage were elected to Warman City Council on Monday, November 9, 2020. Councillor Shaun Cripps was elected in the City of Warman's Municipal By-Election on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The current term runs until 2024.

The role of Warman City Council is to provide leadership and develop policy for the City of Warman. Members of Council collectively make decisions about what services the City of Warman will provide to its citizens, how these services will be provided and at what level they are provided. Do not hesitate to call your Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors if you have any questions and would like more information. Council always welcomes conversation with the residents of our great city.

Student Council Representative 

Each year the City of Warman appoints a youth in the community to be the Student Council Representative. During the one-year term, the representative gets a first-hand look at how important decisions are made in their community by Council. The representative also has an opportunity to share with Council what issues are important to the youth of the community.

Meetings

Regular meetings of Council take place on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. If the Monday is a statutory holiday the meeting will take on Tuesday. Council meetings are held at City Hall (107 Central Street West) in Council Chambers, starting at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.

Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics Bylaw 2018-07 for the City of Warman defines the values and standards expected of members of Council in dealing with each other, employees of the City of Warman and the public.
