1. Why should I recycle?

Recycling is the process of turning one used product into a new product. This is done to reduce the consumption of resources, energy, and space used in landfills, and it reflects good environmental stewardship.

2. How does the “One Cart / No Sort” program work?

Households will receive one 95-gallon blue cart in which all of the household recyclables can be placed. These carts provide lots of capacity and an easy closing lid to prevent windblown litter. There is no more sorting the recyclables into separate bins or bags. See the list of approved recyclable items that can be placed in the cart.

3. How often are the blue recycling carts collected?

The carts are collected every two weeks. The day will depend on the area of the city in which you live.
