Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal
It was a gratifying opportunity to address the recipients of Warman and area for Mayor Gary Philipchuk, who received his medal in a presentation earlier this fall in Saskatoon.
“It’s humbling to be in a room with so many people from our region who are deserving of this prestigious recognition,” he said. “You have all earned this honour through a variety of invaluable contributions to your respective communities. All of you are true community builders. You are the core - the pulse - of what makes your communities thrive.”

About the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal:
The commemorative medal celebrates the 70th anniversary year of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s II’s accession to the Throne. A total of 7,000 medals around Saskatchewan will be presented through the Platinum Jubilee year, which ends on February 5, 2023. The Government of Saskatchewan partnered with several organizations, including the City of Warman, to ensure a wide distribution of medals across the province. The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (Saskatchewan) will be a tangible way to recognize outstanding Saskatchewanians of all ages and from all walks of life, who have built and continue to build a strong, vibrant society and province through their service, contributions and achievements.
