Responsibilities
Appointed by the City of Warman, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer enforces
regulatory bylaws of the city through both proactive and complaint-driven means. Additional duties include:
- impounding and conducting followup procedural actions for animal control
- issuing and processing violation tickets for city bylaw infractions
- liaising and working with the RCMP, local veterinarian, and other agencies as appropriate
- responding to inquiries and complaints from the public concerning regulatory matters in a timely and courteous manner
- providing assistance to the public regarding compliance with all city bylaws
Note: The bylaw enforcement officer does not deal with Criminal Code offences.
When to Call Bylaw Enforcement
- to report a dog running at large or animal related issues
- to report an untidy or unsightly property
- to report a city bylaw contravention
- to make a parking complaint
