The City of Warman stands with Humboldt, the SJHL and the Broncos

The tragedy that has struck Humboldt resonates closely with all of us here in Warman; hockey at all levels is an integral part of our community. Our flags remain at half mast, as we continue to send our thoughts, prayers and support to all of those affected in Humboldt and beyond:

“I am so heartbroken to hear of such a tragic event. This has touched the hearts of our community, our province, our country and beyond. Our entire community sends our love and prayers to all those affected by the tragedy. We will be thinking of you and lighting a candle in memory of those who lost their lives and those recovering”.

~ Mayor Sheryl Spence

A vigil is scheduled this evening, at 7 PM in Humboldt, to mourn the victims of Friday’s tragedy. In lieu of a vigil here, many of us at City Hall, including members of Council, staff and administration will be lighting a candle at 7 PM to pay our respects from afar. We encourage everyone in the community to join alongside us, in showing our support for the community of Humboldt and all of those affected by this tragedy.

A number of networks will be airing the vigil live, including CBC, Sportsnet, Facebook Live and Youtube. More information on how to view the vigil can be found in the links below:
