Mayor Spence 2017

City Mayor's Blog

I am very proud to be the first Mayor for the City of Warman.

From the first time I came to visit Warman over 30 years ago it has been very apparent Warman's charm comes from it's people.  The residents of Warman welcomed my family back then, and they continue to share their friendly community with all who come to live here or visit this fine City.  I am pleased to  have this kind of oppurtunity to share on a monthly basis, the good news and positive actions taking place in our community, the City of Warman.  Grab a cup of coffee and read on what is current and happening in the City of Warman.

Business Excellence Awards

Posted on March 8, 2016 at 2:33 PM by Brittany Hadley

What is that buzz around our city??

Last week, excitement was in the air as many of the local businesses in the community were humbled to learn that they had been nominated for a local business excellence award.

This year, the Warman and Martensville Chambers of Commerce are excited to announce their newest partnership venture, the First Annual Business Excellence Awards. The Business Excellence Awards banquet is scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Brian King Centre in Warman. This formal business event will be attended by key community and business leaders.

Finalists and award winners will be announced in each of the following categories during the event:
• Business of the Year
• New Business
• Marketing
• Customer Service
• Community Involvement

These awards are a great opportunity to thank the businesses that help strengthen our community and bring us that much closer to becoming a self-sustaining community. In addition, this kind of appreciation for local businesses is worth more than you can imagine.

By investing in our community, our local businesses have committed to the future of Warman and they continue to show this commitment through their work and service offerings. In turn, our local Chamber of Commerce continues to work hard to support and advertise the business strengths we have right here in our own backyard!

We all want to see a full variety of business opportunities in Warman and area. These awards are a great first step to show our appreciation and thanks for the businesses already here and working towards filling the many needs of our growing community. While nominations are now closed to the public, I encourage everyone to thank a local business owner and let them know your appreciation. Did a business go above and beyond to provide a service? Does the business play a role in supporting community events? Be sure to thank them for all that they do to make our community a great place to call home.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the Warman Chamber of Commerce and the Martensville Chamber of Commerce for creating these awards. Your hard work to supporting local businesses is appreciated. In addition, I want to congratulate all nominees on being nominated for these prestigious awards.
