City of Warman Stays Connected: #CallItHome
Participation in this photo showcase is automatically deemed as acceptance of these showcase rules.
#CallitHome takes on a new meaning as we continue practicing physical distancing and stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic. What are you doing to keep busy? To stay entertained with the kids? To connect with your friends and family? We would love to see your photos! Who knows ... you just may inspire your fellow neighbours with new ideas as we make our way through this period of time.
Submissions for the City of Warman Stays Connected Photo Showcase commences March 31 and will continue indefinitely.
The showcase is open to anyone who lives in City of Warman.
How to Enter the Showcase
Complete the online photo release form and upload your photo. Once a photo is submitted, it may not be modified, edited, or replaced. A photo submission must be an original photograph (in digital format) taken by the photographer.
A person may submit more than one photo. A photo release is required for every photo submitted.
Receipt of entry will not be acknowledged. Photos become the property of the City of Warman.
All photos must be high resolution (minimum 1600x1600 pixels/1 MB and max 4MB) submitted in digital format as a jpeg file. Photos should not have any visible watermarks, signatures, or personally identifiable information such as a name or email address.
All submissions must include the name and e-mail address of the photographer.
Photographs previously published in full or in part in other publications, contests etc., are not eligible. All photos received by the City of Warman will not be returned.
Retouching of Photos
The submitted photo cannot be significantly retouched; nothing in the photo (people, animals, scenery, objects, etc.) may be altered, removed, augmented or rearranged. Cropping of the original image is permitted, as are modest tonal or colour corrections.
Photo submissions must not contain obscenity, explicit sexual material, nudity, profanity, graphic violence, or calls or incitement to violence. Submissions also must not contain content or images that could be considered abusive, inflammatory, denigrating, or disrespectful to the City of Warman, or to groups, individuals or institutions. Photos containing blatant advertising will not be included.
Photo submissions must be original photos created by the entrant/photographer and must not contain any elements that are protected by someone else’s copyright or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights (except as expressly permitted below).
Submissions must adhere both in appearance and in fact to the norms of civil discourse. In other words, the content of all submissions must be suitable for a global, public audience. The City of Warman reserves the right to reject, at its sole and absolute discretion, any submission that does not adhere to these criteria, to the intent, or to the substance of these showcase rules.
By submitting a photo, the entrant/photographer affirms that he or she has obtained written consent from all individuals whose image or likeness appears in the photo, and further affirms that he or she is prepared to provide reliable documentation to that effect upon request (or from the individuals’ parent/legal guardian if any such individuals are considered a minor in their country of residence).
The entrant/photographer further affirms that he or she has obtained the necessary rights, licenses, consents and permissions to use all material in the photo. Failure to obtain such rights, license consents, and permissions may result in the rejection of the photo submission at the City of Warman’s sole and absolute discretion. The City of Warman recognizes no allowance for “fair use” of copyrighted material. In the event of any question or difference of view regarding compliance with, interpretation, or application of these content requirements or other provisions of these showcase rules, the City of Warman reserves the exclusive right to resolve such questions or differences of view in their sole discretion.
